Essential Regulators of Inflammatory Response

Proteolytic enzymes, such as bromelain, papain, pancreatin, trypsin, chymotrypsin, and rutin, are essential regulators and modulators of the inflammatory response and are found in Pineapple and Papaya.

Another important roll for enzymes is that they increase the potency of natural killer (NK) cells which can break up existing pathogenic immune complexes and even prevent their formation by enhancing lymphatic drainage.

These enzymes modulate the inflammatory process by reducing the swelling of mucous membranes, decreasing capillary permeability, and dissolving blood clot-forming fibrin deposits. By doing so these enzymes improve circulation, thus increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to and the transport of harmful waste products away from traumatized tissue.

Proteolytic enzymes also help break down plasma proteins and cellular debris at the site of an injury into smaller fragments. This greatly facilitates their passage through the lymphatic system, resulting in more rapid resolution of swelling, with the consequent relief of pain and discomfort.

It is enzymes that perform all the functions your body needs to survive. They are the workers in your body. Without enzymes, NO activity would take place at all. Neither vitamins, minerals, nor hormones can do any work without enzymes.

If your dog experiences any inflammatory condition then they need enzymes including  pain, swelling, stiffness of the joints.  But here is the trick, if you are needing enzymes for other things other than digestion then you have to take it on an empty stomach for it to work in other areas in the body.

So making frosty paws you are not using up the valuable enzymes for just digestion.

1 cup of fresh Pineapple The health benefits of pineapple are plentiful as it is an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese, vitamin B6 and vitamin B1 as well as folate. Pineapple also has a digestive enzyme called bromelain, which is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes. These enzymes work together to help your digestive system break down and absorb proteins from the foods you eat. However they are not limited to just digestive benefits; as research has shown, they also help with excessive inflammation,certain types of tumor growth, relieve stomach aches, heartburn and diarrhea.

1 cup of fresh or frozen Papaya:  is a rich source of valuable proteolytic enzymes, such as papain, chymopapain, caricain and glycyl endopeptidase, that can greatly aid in the digestive process. This is especially true of meals that contain meat or other concentrated forms of protein.

2 cups of Goat Kefir: may contain up to 61 different microorganisms, making it a much more potent source of probiotics than many other fermented dairy products. Probiotics like kefir can treat several forms of diarrhea. They can also lead to improvements in various digestive diseases.

1 Package of Super FydoPhoods. For this recipe we recommend either Fydo Zymes or Fydo Flex which is what we used in this recipe.
