The Holistic Wellness Scan uses biofeedback, which has the ability to read the energetic resonance that is stored within the hair or nail samples. This test is so much more than tolerances test for your pet, as it can identify imbalances and disturbances within the entire body.Biofeedback energy status analysis measures the body’s bio energetic balance or homeostasis in relation to various food and environmental factors that an animal has been exposed to.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) would call this a balance of yin or yang, with the goal removing or reducing incompatible energetic disturbances that diminish the body’s Qi or life-force. It is well known in TCM,homeopathy and Western holistic medicine, that energetic and spiritual disturbances often physical disturbances.

This is NOT a traditional allergy or intolerance test for pets done in a medical laboratory. It is a non-invasive energetic analysis that can detect stress and what may be causing energetic factors contributing to the allergy type symptoms in your pet. Using biofeedback analysis, the biofeedback device can identify over 300 food and environmental factors that may disturb an animal’s energy balance.

As well as providing the response from various heavy metals, along with a nutritional report that will tell how the body is processing vitamins and minerals. Biofeedback measures the body’s energetic reaction to various substances. It is complimentary and is in no way meant to be inferred as a substitute for traditional medical testing methods.

We highly recommend that you consult with your veterinarian if you wish such traditional testing be done for your pet. Changing your pets food or avoiding certain environmental items is an excellent place to start, however, there may be specific food imbalances that are asking for attention.

Should you choose to purchase the scan you will receive a submission form to download, then you can clip the hair closest to the skin base and insert it into a Ziplock bag along with form to be mailed to our testing facility. Once we receive your sample in our office, we will email you the results within 10 -14 business days of receiving the sample.

Allergy vs Intolerance? Allergies are usually hereditary and can manifest almost immediately after inhalation or consumption of a food or substance. Allergic reactions are an immune response where as intolerance's derive from the digestive system. Allergies can also be life threatening. PLEASE, if you know your pet has a KNOWN ALLERGY TO AN ITEM ON THIS REPORT, DO NOT LET THEM CONSUME.

Given that your pet has a known allergy to a certain item, and if you have been avoiding this item for a length of time it may not show up in your test results as a food intolerance. Intolerance's are more deceptive, and reactions may occur hours or days after exposure, depending on the individual. Intolerance's can change depending on diet, environment and lifestyle. Practicing an elimination diet can sometimes rid the body of these intolerance's.

In tolerances can change depending on your pet’s diet, environment, and lifestyle which means that an item that has never affected your pet before may suddenly be creating an intolerance. Also, over-consumption of or over-exposure to an item can register as an intolerance. There may be some items listed that your pet has never come in contact with, but this is normal. This test has the capability to determine if an item would be an intolerance by reading the data within the hair strand.

Questions and Answers

Q: How long does it take to receive my results?  Within 10 business days of us receiving your sample in our office.Q: How will I receive my test results? Our office will send all results by email directly to the email address you provide on the order form after the test has been completed. We can also mail the reports BY REQUEST ONLY.

Q: My pet has short or thinning hair, can I trim/cut some hair for the hair sample? Yes, trimming your pet’s hair for the hair sample is okay, but we prefer you to tweezers a few hairs to get the follicle. Please make sure that there are adequate pieces of hair with your order form and place hair in a zip bag to send in.

Q: How accurate is our testing? The biofeedback technicians take great care in documenting your pet’s results according to
the output. While there is not a way that we can put an exact value to each highlighted item, rest assured that it reached a level high enough to record as a stressors which could cause allergy type symptoms. After conducting over 40,000 plus tests, we are proud to verify accuracy within our testing and recommend it to anyone open to a more natural, less traditional, approach to alternative medicine.

5. Q: Now that I have my results, what do I do with them? A: Your results will be your pet road map to achieving optimum health balance. You will see what foods your pet is currently sensitive to and steer clear of ingredients that trigger itching, irritation, and other unwanted allergy type symptoms. Identifying potential food and environmental intolerance sources is the most important first step in bettering the overall health of your pet. If you have questions or need consulting on the report, please give our office a call.

How to read your test

Level 1 GREEN are items that show an emotional response. They are OK to consume

Level 2 YELLOW are items that are recommended that you consume those in moderation. Over consumption of these items could cause an intolerance to develop.

Level 3-4 RED are items that are showing a high intolerance in the body. So, you would use this test as a tool to be aware that something is happening within your pet’s body when consuming these foods. Whether that intolerance is something tolerable or not varies.

What should I do now?

Here are some general guidelines for an elimination diet that you may benefit from:

1. Look at the items on your pet results that are RED and focus on the ones that you know they encounter on a regular basis and the ones you think may be affecting them negatively.

2. It is recommended that you keep a written log of any changes made so that you can track their intolerance's.

3. Try reducing or eliminating the amount that you come into contact with these items for 4- 6 weeks

4. The sooner you start changing your diet and environment, the sooner you could see changes.

5.After this reduction period is over, try re-introducing the items slowly back into your pets lifestyle. As their body reacts, you can determine which items are negatively affecting your pet.
